National Survey of Muslim Community

National Survey of Muslim Community

Life in the United States

Assalaamu ‘Alaikum,

Introduction

A research-based book, titled Muslims in America, is being written by Zaheer Uddin, Executive Director, Center for American Muslim Research and Information (CAMRI), and former president of ICNA and Internet Islamic University, to document the history, development, experiences, institutions, contributions, and challenges of Muslims in the United States.

This survey is part of a research project examining the development, achievements, challenges, leadership, and future of Muslim community life in the United States. Its purpose is to hear directly from Muslims themselves—not only organizational leaders and scholars, but ordinary members of the community from different generations, racial and ethnic backgrounds, professions, regions, and levels of religious and organizational involvement.

The survey is anonymous. There are no right or wrong answers. Please give your honest opinion based on your own knowledge and experience. Most questions require only checking a box, and the survey should take approximately 5–7 minutes.

Please forward and share this survey with your family, friends, colleagues, mosque communities, university and student groups, professional networks, and other Muslim contacts throughout the United States. The broader and more diverse the participation, the more useful the findings will be.
